Muslims perform the prayer of fear (Salat al-Khawf) during times of imminent danger, such as when facing an enemy in battle. The congregation is divided into two groups: one group prays with the Imam while the other stands guard. Then, the groups switch so that both can complete their prayer while maintaining vigilance. If necessary, individual prayer gestures can replace full movements to maintain readiness for defense, even if they face away from the qiblah
