To perform Ghusl, a Muslim should:
1. Intend (niyyah) to purify oneself for Allah.
2. Wash hands and private parts.
3. Perform Wudu (ablution) as done for prayer.
4. Pour water over the head three times, ensuring it reaches the scalp.
5. Wash the entire body thoroughly, starting with the right side, then the left, making sure water reaches every part.
After completing these steps, Ghusl is complete, and one is ritually pure for worship.
